Ohio Valley University
College of Professional Studies
Institute for Adult Learning

offers a degree endorsement in

PRACTICAL
ACCOUNTING

Next cohort dates:
Monday evenings, June 6--December 19, 2005

Many current and prospective students in the adult learning programs at Ohio Valley University have expressed interest in obtaining additional evening study in Accounting. The Institute is therefore offering a 12-semester hour program in the accelerated adult learning format focusing on practical accounting procedure. This program is structured toward the manager or office professional whose responsibilities may include budgeting, cost controls and other areas of accounting responsibility, but who is not seeking training in professional accountancy or accounting theory. This program will be directed by David Hamm, MBA, CPA. Professor Hamm is not only an experienced practitioner (25+ years in professional accountancy), but he is also an effective and engaging teacher (20+ years in higher education).

Note: These modules are designed for the adult learner whose job responsibilities require an understanding of workplace accounting and financial procedure. These modules will not teach accounting theory in any substantial detail and are not recommended for students who desire to earn a CPA license or other professional certification.
