The OVC Institute for Adult Learning graduated 25 members of the Alpha-Gamma, Alpha-Delta, and Alpha-Epsilon ADVANCE cohorts during OVC Commencement ceremonies on May 7, 2005. These adult learners have completed their major requirement for their Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration. Most either received their B.S. degrees on May 7 or are within a few credits of doing so.
Dwight Yoakam, country music star and accomplished film actor, served as commencement speaker. Mr. Yoakam received OVC's first honorary doctorate during the ceremonies.
